Art in Rome: the Museum System of the Municipality of Rome is made up of an extremely diverse group of museum spaces and archaeological sites, of huge artistic and historical value. As well as the Capitoline Museums the museums that make up the System include the Museum of Rome, MACRO, the museum of Villa Torlonia, the Planetarium and the Astronomical Museum, the Museum of the Altar of Peace, and the Carlo Bilotti Museum in the Villa Borghese's Orangery. The wide scope of what is on offer and the numerous initiatives this System of museums hosts, makes it unique in Italy.
