The Royal Netherlands Institute in Rome is an interuniversity research and educational institute specialising in history, art history and archaeology. Looking for libraries in Rome the Institute hosts students, researchers and scholars from Dutch universities who come to Rome for research purposes. The library of the Royal Netherlands Institute in Rome has a collection of around 50.000 books and scientific literature about the cultural history of the Netherlands, the history of Rome and environs, art history, classical archaeology and the relationship between the Netherlands and the Vatican.
