The 4 stars Hotel Massimo d'Azeglio in Rome has a long and colorful history. In 1875, Maurizio Bettoja bought the ground floor of the building where Hotel Massimo D'Azeglio currently stands, which at the time housed a long-established restaurant, originali a tavern opened for the Jubilee of 1575 near the Basilica of S. Mary Major.
